P4 The family!

In this moment, we are working on family members: mummy, daddy, sister, brother and Patch (the mascot, a dog). We talked about our families, whether they are big or small and the members of our family. I told the students a funny story about a family and Patch.
Mummy and Daddy are sleeping in the bed. Then, sister asks them, "Can I come in (the bed)?" daddy and mummy say "Yes".Then, brother asks "Can I come in?"  and mummy and Daddy say "Yes". Then, Patch asks "Can I come in?" and daddy and mummy say "Yes". Then, Patch rolls over and mummy falls out the bed. Then Patch rolls over again and Daddy falls out. Then Patch rolls over and sister falls out. And Patch rolls over again and brother falls out. And Patch stays alone in the bed and sleeping very calm.

En aquest moment, estem treballant els membres de la família: mare, pare, germana, germà i Patch (la mascota, un gos). Hem parlat sobre les nostres famílies, si són grans o petites i els membres de la família. Els vaig explicar als alumnes una història molt divertida sobre una família i en Patch. La mare i el pare estàn dormint al llit. Llavors, la germana els pregunta "Puc entrar (al llit)?" i ells diuen "sí". Llavors, el germà arriba i pregunta "puc entrar?" i els pares diuen "Sí". I en Patch pregunta"puc entrar?" i els pares diuen "Si". Llavors, en Patch es gira al llit i fa caure la mare del llit. Patch torna a girar i cau el pare. Gira al llit i cau la germana. Gira al llit i cau el germà. I es queda en Patch al llit tot sol dormint i molt relaxat.

Hi everyone!

Now, we are working in the unit 4 The Body. Children know the parts of the body thanks to a sticky song. They love it! Moreover, we talk about different activities they can practise, because "excercise is good for you"!!Watch the two videos of the two songs.

Ara, estem treballant la unitat 4 El cos. Els alumnes saben les parts del cos gràcies a una cançó amb molt de ganxo. Els encanta! A més, parlem sobre diferents activitats que poden practicar , per que l'exercici és bo per tu"!!Mireu els dos vídeos de les cançons.

We are reading an English book!!

We read books. We read Catalan books in Catalan classes, Spanish books in Spanish classes and now...we read English books in English classes!!Yeah!!This is a very good new!!At the beggining the students were worried about reading a book in English. But now the students are very motivated and they like reading!! Through reading the students improve these habilities:
 - Reading skills
 - Decoding skills
 - Pronunciation 
 - Listening to different accents
 - Get the tune, rhythm and entonation when reading
 - Distinguish the vocabulary they know to get a general idea
 -Infer or deduce information by the predicates

         As you see reading increases the students habilities when learning a language. So, let's continue reading English books! And probably, the next year Santa Claus or the Three Wise men can bring the students English books! ;)

Llegim llibres. Llegim llibres de català a les classes de català, de castellà a les classes de castellà i ara...llegim llibres en anglès a les classes d'anglès!!SÍ!!Aquesta sí és una bona notícia! Al principi, estaven preocupats per llegir un llibre en anglès. Però ara, els alumnes estan molt motivats i fins i tot els agrada llegir-lo!
A través de la lectura els alumnes milloren les seves habilitats:
- habilitats de lectura
- habilitats de descodificació
- pronunciació
- escoltar diferents accents
- agafar el to de veu, ritme i entonació quan es llegeix
- discriminar el vocabulari que coneixen per crear una idea general amb el que saben
- inferir o deduir informació a través dels predicats


        Com veieu la lectura incrementa les habilitats dels alumnes en l'aprenentatge de l'idioma. Per tant, continuarem llegint llibres en anglès! I probablement l'any vinent Santa Claus o els Reis Mags us portin llibres en anglès!! ;)

 

English books!!

One week ago, I brought from London some English books! They are really beautiful and funny. So, I shared the books with all classes. Since then, every week I tell the students a book before finishing the class. Here you have the favourite book of the majority of the classes. Have a look! It's very funny!!

Fa una setmana, vaig portar de Londres alguns llibres en anglès. Aquests són molt macos i divertits. Per tant, vaig ensenyar els llibres a totes les classes. Des de llavors, cada setmana explico un conte abans d'acabar la classe. Aquí teniu el llibre que més a agradat a la majoria de les classes. Feu una ullada! És molt divertit!
